Hi, I’m Rachel Lloyd
I support women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with calm, grounded care that honours both evidence and intuition.
This work is for you if you want to feel informed, supported, and emotionally held — not rushed, not dismissed, and not alone in your choices.
Why this work matters to me
My passion for this work comes from a deep respect for women and the transitions we move through as we become mothers.
I am continually in awe of the strength I witness through pregnancy, birth and postpartum — a season of profound physical, emotional and identity change.
My own journey through motherhood has included loss, growth and rediscovery. It has shaped the way I hold space today, with understanding, humility, and deep respect for how vulnerable and powerful this season can be.
I don’t come with all the answers. I come with presence, steadiness, and lived understanding of how much this time can ask of you.
My Approach
My approach blends birth education, hypnobirthing principles, and doula care to support you through pregnancy, labour and birth.
You’ll be supported with practical tools for labour, emotional preparation, partner involvement, and techniques that help you work with your body rather than against it.
At the centre of my work is a simple intention — for you to feel steady, supported, and safe in your experience, whatever shape your birth takes.
How I support you
I walk alongside you with warmth and steadiness through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Support may include:
Hypnobirthing education and birth preparation
Continuous doula support during labour and birth
Emotional and practical postpartum care
Guidance, reassurance, and advocacy as you navigate decisions
You don’t need to hold everything alone in this season.
A final note
If you feel drawn to this kind of support, I would be honoured to walk alongside you through your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
My Philosophy
“I believe birth changes when women feel informed, supported, and deeply connected to themselves.
My role isn’t to tell women how to birth.
It’s to create space where they can understand their options, trust their instincts, and feel held through one of life’s biggest transitions.
Whether through birth support, postpartum care, or Hypnobirthing…
My hope is always the same:
That women leave feeling more confident in themselves than when they arrived.”
